Environment:  demersal; freshwater; brackish
Distribution:  Asia: Kerala, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and Assam in India.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Omnivorous bottom feeder (Ref. 54942). Oviparous, distinct pairing possibly like other members of the same genus (Ref. 205).
