Environment:  bathypelagic; marine; depth range - 3000 m
Distribution:  Eastern Atlantic: known only from a specimen caught off Sierra Leone.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  The specimen examined contained shrimps in its stomach (Ref. 34506).
IUCN Red List Status: Data deficient (DD); Date assessed: 13 May 2013 Ref. (124695)
Threat to humans:  harmless
