Environment:  bathypelagic; marine; depth range 324 - 2100 m
Distribution:  Eastern Atlantic: south of Iceland (Ref. 6682) to Gulf of Guinea. Western Atlantic: off Suriname and French Guiana (Ref. 13608). Western Indian Ocean: in tropical waters.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 0-0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 17-22; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 15-19
