Max. size:  29.2 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  pelagic-neritic; marine; depth range 298 - 320 m
Distribution:  Western Pacific: northwestern Australia and southern Taiwan.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal soft rays (total): 10-10; Anal soft rays: 28-30; Vertebrae: 85-88. This species in the Lestidium atlanticum species complex is distinguished by the following: with a luminescent duct extending beyond the anterior margin of the eye; with prehaema vertebrae 41-43; predorsal vertebrae 38-40; prepelvic vertebrae 37-39; preanal vertebrae 56-59; total vertebrae 85-88; total lateral-line scales 126-146; relatively short jaws (Ref. 123138).
