Max. size:  48.9 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  Africa: subspecies Labeobarbus intermedius intermedius widely distributed throughout southern Ethiopia and into northern Kenya, certainly as far as Lake Baringo, but excluding the lake itself (Ref. 2801, 108777). Subspecies L. i. australis only known from Lake Baringo (Ref. 2801, 108777).
