This species is distinguished by the following set of characters: no head pores; no scales; D1 V; dorsal- and anal-fin rays branched and at least some pectoral-fin rays are branched; pelvic fin with a spine and five unbranched rays (Ref. 94949). |
| Biology: |
Collected from a narrow reef flat, the sandy slope with patches of corals and a rocky wall of about 3 m with small caves and shelters, and the slope began at depths of 8-10 m. The holotype was captured on sand at the base of coral at a depth of 8 meters (Ref. 94949). |
