Family:  Stichaeidae (Pricklebacks), subfamily: Chirolophinae
Max. size:  12 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; marine; depth range 0 - 37 m
Distribution:  Northwest Pacific: western Aleutian Islands and Commander Islands to Hokkaido.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Inhabits intertidal areas to depth of about 40 meters, usually in tide pools or shallower than 20 meters (Ref. 51666).
