Max. size:  5.6 cm SL (female)
Environment:  bathypelagic; marine; depth range 0 - 1000 m
Distribution:  Atlantic Ocean.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal soft rays (total): 18-18; Anal soft rays: 20-20. This species is distinguished by the following characters: pectoral-fin rays 6, the last of which is separated, and a luminous tissue strip on the side in the form of a longitudinally elongated oval, and ending far beyond the level of attachment of ventral fins (Ref, 123295).
