Family:  Gaidropsaridae (Rocklings)
Max. size:  34 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; marine, non-migratory
Distribution:  Southeast Atlantic: South Africa, Tristan da Cunha, and Gough Island. Western Indian Ocean: St. Paul and Amsterdam Islands.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 0-0; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 50-54. 2nd dorsal fin with 62-64 soft rays.
Biology:  Found in tide pools.
