Distribution:  North America: Extinct; formerly in Big Spring, Madison County in Alabama, USA.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Formerly found in Big Spring, which was impounded, lined with concrete, and stocked with common carp and goldfish (Ref. 86798).
IUCN Red List Status: Extinct (EX); Date assessed: 27 January 2012 Ref. (130435)
Threat to humans:  harmless
