Family:  Nothobranchiidae (African rivulines)
Max. size:  9 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater; pH range: 6 - 7; dH range: 12, non-migratory
Distribution:  Africa: swampy zones of the Niger Delta and Warri in Nigeria, from Ouémé River in Benin (Ref. 7372) and Ghana (Ref. 11235).
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Occurs in swamps, pools and swampy parts of brooks and small streams in the humid coastal rainforest. Bottom spawner, 2 months incubation. Is difficult to maintain in aquarium (Ref. 27139).
