Max. size:  12 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater; depth range 0 - 2 m
Distribution:  North America: found only in Cumberland and Tennessee River drainages in Virginia, Kentucky, Tennessee, Georgia and Alabama, USA.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Occurs in rocky pools with current in small to medium rivers, usually near vegetation (Ref. 5723, 10294). Feeds on midge larvae (Ref. 10294).
