Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater; pH range: 5.80000019073486 - 7.19999980926514, non-migratory
Distribution:  Africa: Pool Malebo, lower Kwango, lower Kasai and middle Congo River in western Democratic Republic of the Congo (Ref. 47461). Also in Pool Malebo (Ref 108939) and the drainage systems of the Nkéni, Alima, Vouma, Kouyou and Likouala (Ref. 47461) in Republic of Congo.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Occurs mainly in the shallow and weedy parts of brooks, small streams and swamps in the rainforest (Ref. 3788). Not a seasonal killifish (Ref. 27139).
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 16 February 2009 Ref. (130435)
Threat to humans:  harmless
