Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  Africa: Sabi-Incomati and Steelpoort-Limpopo systems.
Biology:  Found in headwater streams with vegetation. Feeds on small invertebrates. Breeds in spring and summer (Ref. 7248).
