Environment:  demersal; marine; depth range 10 - 30 m
Distribution:  Northwest Pacific: Taiwan.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal soft rays (total): 81-84; Anal soft rays: 62-63; Vertebrae: 34-34. This species is distinguished by the following: a pair of black spots on the caudal fin; small upper and lower eyes (3.48-3.77 in HL); both sexes with narrow interorbital width (5.96-9.78 in HL), and a short pectoral fin on the ocular side (1.25-1.43 in HL) (Ref. 127473).
