Max. size:  4.55 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  reef-associated; marine
Distribution:  Western Central Atlantic: Puerto Rico and the Lesser Antilles to Curaçao and Venezuela.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 7-7; Dorsal soft rays (total): 12-13; Anal spines: 1-1; Anal soft rays: 10-12. Head and body with two black stripes, one middorsal and one lateral, the two separated by a narrow bright yellow stripe which commences on upper part of eye; all three stripes continuing into caudal fin (Ref. 13442).
Biology:  Occurs in groups near coral heads (Ref. 9710). Picks external parasites found on other fishes (Ref. 13628). Monogamous (Ref. 52884).
