Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  Asia: Xe Nam Noy on the Bolaven Plateau, Mekong basin Laos.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal soft rays (total): 7-8; Anal soft rays: 11-14. No barbels; lateral line complete; no infraorbital process; cleithral spot present; 6-8 bars, gradually deeper, then gradually shorter from B1 to the last which is deeper than P stripe (Ref. 36949).
