Max. size:  16 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  reef-associated; marine; depth range 1 - 30 m
Distribution:  Western Central Pacific: US Minor Islands. Eastern Central Pacific: Line, Society, Rapa and Austral Islands.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 8; Dorsal soft rays (total): 26-28; Anal spines: 3; Anal soft rays: 23-26. Posterior caudal peduncle and fin abruptly white in life. Caudal concavity 5.05-8.8 in SL (Ref 42056).
Biology:  Inhabits coral reefs from the shallow waters to depths of at least 30 m (Ref. 42056).
