Environment:  demersal; marine
Distribution:  Southwest Atlantic: Puerto Deseado, Argentina to Tierra del Fuego and the Falkland Islands.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 0-0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 102-102; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 75-75; Vertebrae: 102-102. Pelvic fins small. Body pale brownish dorsally and much paler ventrally. Ten dark brownish crossbars across head, trunk and tail extending to the dorsal and anal fins (Ref. 27363).
Biology:  Feeds on polychaetes (Ref. 33379).
