Family:  Cyprinidae (Minnows or carps), subfamily: Labeoninae
Max. size:  17.87 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater; brackish; pH range: 8, potamodromous
Distribution:  Asia: India. Reported from Bangladesh (Ref. 1479), Myanmar (Ref. 57739) and China (Ref. 51717).
Biology:  Adults inhabit streams and rivers (Ref. 1479). Found over gravel and stony bottom of mountain streams (Ref. 51717).
