Family:  Procatopodidae (African lampeyes), subfamily: Procatopodinae
Max. size:  3 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater; pH range: 5.80000019073486 - 6.5, non-migratory
Distribution:  Africa: central Congo River basin, including the Ruki drainage, shore region of Lake Tumba and Lake Mai Ndombe system (Ref. 47311).
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Occurs in weedy parts of small rivers, brooks and swamps in river drainages (Ref. 3788). Not a seasonal killifish. Is very difficult to maintain in aquarium (Ref. 27139).
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 16 February 2009 Ref. (130435)
