Max. size:  8 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  Africa: small tributaries of Loukkos and Sebou rivers in northern Morocco.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  A short-lived species which occurs in highland and lowland water courses with little current. Is threatened due to pollution and habitat destruction (Ref. 26100). Max. length (Juan Antonio Delgado Saez, pers. Comm. 1997). Oviparous, possibly with distinct pairing during breeding similar to congeners (Ref. 205).
