Diagnosis: |
Dorsal soft rays (total): 78-86; Anal soft rays: 62-68; Vertebrae: 36-37. Lower jaw in adults with a remarkable bony knob; snout very strongly projecting, 5.5-6.3% in SL in adults; pectoral fin on ocular side longer than that on blind side, ocular side with 10-11 rays, blind side with 8-10 rays; pelvic fin on ocular side situated on mid-ventral line, that on blind side slightly in advance of and dorsal to its counterpart (Ref. 35997). |
