Distribution:  Western Central Pacific: Rongerik Atoll, Marshall Islands.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 0-0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 0-0; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 0-0. This species is unique among ophichthids by its combination of no fins, a long and pointed upper snout, and cirri on the upper lips. TL to 40 cm.
Biology:  Type specimens collected from the surge-washed sand patch at Rongerik Atoll (Ref. 1602).
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 18 November 2019 Ref. (130435)
Threat to humans:  harmless
