Environment:  bathydemersal; marine
Distribution:  Southeast Atlantic: east and west coasts of South Africa. Reported from Namibia (Ref. 27121). Western Indian Ocean: Mozambique (Ref. 5213).
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 0-0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 11-12; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 9-10. Body yellow-brown with irregular darker blotching (Ref. 5320).
Biology:  Occurs in deep outer shelf and upper slope waters (Ref. 5320).
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 11 October 2018 Ref. (130435)
Threat to humans:  harmless
