Family:  Chlopsidae (False morays)
Max. size:  20 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; marine
Distribution:  Southeast Pacific: endemic to Galapagos Islands.
Biology:  Rare. The sixteen individuals which have been collected were captured by dipnets at the surface under electric lights (Ref. 28023).
IUCN Red List Status: Near Threatened (NT); Date assessed: 21 May 2007 Ref. (124695)
Threat to humans:  harmless
