Distinguished from C. supramacula by the absence of a conspicuous dark spot on the dorsum (Ref. 43205). |
| Occurs in tide pools and to depths of up to 45 m (Ref. 43205). Also found in rocky areas to at least 50 m depth; adults often in pairs (Ref. 86997). |
