Max. size:  6.8 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  bathypelagic; marine; depth range 450 - 475 m
Distribution:  Western Atlantic: Cariaco Trench, Venezuela, Gulf of Mexico to southern Brazil (Ref. 47377).
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Neritic (Ref. 46075). Oviparous, with planktonic eggs and larvae (Ref. 6735).
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 29 January 2013 Ref. (124695)
Threat to humans:  harmless
