Environment:  bathypelagic; marine; depth range - 500 m
Distribution:  Circumglobal in the southern hemisphere from about 40°S to Antarctica.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Adults mesopelagic (below 500 m); larvae in upper 200 m (Ref. 5174).
