Max. size:  32 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  bathydemersal; marine; depth range 1055 - 2835 m
Distribution:  Circumglobal in southern oceans.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 0-0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 10-11; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 11-11. Body and head purplish to brownish black, fins lighter (Ref. 5320).
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 11 October 2018 Ref. (124695)
