Environment:  pelagic-oceanic; marine; depth range 380 - 750 m
Distribution:  Western Central Atlantic: apparently, endemic to Caribbean basin: Gulf of Mexico (23°23′ N, 79°39′ W) and in the Columbia Basin (12°23′ N, 81°44′ W).
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Reaches at least 14 cm (Ref. 57190).
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 12 October 2018 Ref. (130435)
Threat to humans:  harmless
