Distribution:  South America: Departamento de Santander, Colombia.
Diagnosis:  Vertebrae: 27-27. Astroblepus nettoferrreirai is distinguished by having denticulated spine within the adipose fin, 8 soft radii, premaxillary with 1-2 bicuspid teeth and 6-11 conic teeth in external row, and 27 vertebrae (Ref. 116456).
