Family:  Apogonidae (Cardinalfishes), subfamily: Apogoninae
Max. size:  6.55 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; marine; depth range 55 - 262 m
Distribution:  Western Central Atlantic: Bermuda, Bahamas and off Mexico. Possibly more wide-ranging.
Diagnosis:  Circumferential caudal peduncle scales 5-2-5; diffuse web-shaped bar below second dorsal fin and broad band on caudal peduncle (Ref. 35505).
Biology:
