Family:  Pomacentridae (Damselfishes), subfamily: Pomacentrinae
Max. size:  10 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  reef-associated; marine; depth range 12 - 20 m, non-migratory
Distribution:  Western Indian Ocean: Red Sea and Gulf of Aden.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 13-13; Dorsal soft rays (total): 11-13; Anal spines: 2-2; Anal soft rays: 11-13. Overall color is pearly white; anterior half of back grayish; chest pearly white; posterior half of body yellowish.
Biology:  Adults inhabit inshore coral reefs and steep outer slopes (Ref. 7247). Oviparous, distinct pairing during breeding (Ref. 205). Eggs are demersal and adhere to the substrate (Ref. 205). Males guard and aerate the eggs (Ref. 205).
