Remarks Occurs inshore (Ref. 75154). Feeds on plants and invertebrates (Ref. 3921). Relatively common on exposed seaward reefs; occasionally on shallow lagoon reefs in areas of rich coral growth and clear water. Often in pairs and feeds mainly on scleractinian coral polyps. Easily approached (Ref. 9710).
