Remarks Inhabits wave-swept reef margins (Ref. 37816), surge zone of outer reef crests (Ref. 90102). Occurs in on rocky and coralline areas usually less than 10 m deep but may be deep as 32 m (Ref. 529, 53568, 58534). Found in wave-swept algal ridge (Porolithon ridge) of outer reef flats. Usually seen in small loose groups spread over sections of reef (Ref. 48636). Solitary or in pairs (Ref. 90102). Hides under shrub coral Acropora (Ref. 529).
