Ecology of Trichonotus setiger

Remarks Grows to about 18 cm in length. Inhabits sand beds in depths from one to at least 10 meters. At the approach of a diver, individual fish quickly dart into the sand just below the surface, frequently leaving the snout and eyes exposed (Ref. 1677).
