Remarks: Infestation occurs most commonly in the musculature and visceral linings. Besides 1938 (Refuerzo and Garcia), the infestation was also reported in 1974 (Velasquez). Refuerzo and Garcia experimentally exposed host fish to infected copepods. But they are uncertain whether infection of these larvae were the result of natural or experimental infection.
