Comments: Known from the Amazon River basin (Ref. 36579). Found only in Rio Caroni, probably widely distributed in the upper basin: from Arekuna on the Rio Caroni itself, in the vicinity of Canaima on the lower Rio Carrao, and upper Rio Carro tributaries on the other (south) side of Auyantepuy (Ref. 26751). Also Ref. 27139.
