Pectoral fins well developed with rather robust rays (Ref. 36121). Branchiostegal rays: 9-11 (Ref. 31442).

Epipelagic to mesopelagic (Ref. 31442). Oviparous, with planktonic eggs and larvae (Ref. 31442).
