Short description Morphology | Morphometrics

Dorsal spines (total): 2 - 3; Dorsal soft rays (total): 7; Anal spines: 3; Anal soft rays: 5. Minute and rounded lateral spots (the fourth Gambetta's pigmentary zone). Head moderately long, small eyes placed in its anterior half. Mental lobes well developed. Sexual dimorphism based on well developed lamina circularis at the base of second pectoral ray in males (Ref. 41095).
