Comments: Known from the Chao Phraya, Mekong and Peninsular Thailand river systems (Ref. 26336). Reported from Phayao, Pattani, Khon Kaen, Salween river and its tributaries, Chiang Mai, and Phitsanulok (Ref. 37773). Museum: Mekong river at Chiang Khan, CAS 63035 (Ref. 5515). Also Ref. 1632, 12693, 26580, 27732, 43281.

Issue
called Crossocheilus siamensis as Crossocheilus atrilimes. Cf. Kottelat, M., 2000 Ref. 36949. Hence the reference is to Crossocheilus atrilimes in reality. Ref. 12693 refers to Crossocheilus atrilimes too and probably to the following species in reality. There is no reference to the genuine Epalzeorhynchos siamensis alias Crossocheilus siamensis except Smith, 1931

مهره ها: 22 - 24. With broad lateral stripe along the body; lateral stripe extending onto middle rays of caudal fin; 8-9 predorsal scales; rostral barbels only (Ref. 12693); 2-3 scale rows between anus and anal fin origin (Ref. 43281).

Usually occurs in hill streams or near rapids, in clear, fast flowing water (Ref. 43281). Found at bottom depths of rivers and streams. Microphagous, feeding on periphyton and phytoplankton (Ref. 12693).
