Further characterized by semi-transparent red color; caudal peduncle with broad blackish stripe midlaterally, extending onto lower half of caudal fin; greatest depth of body 2.8-3.1 in SL (Ref. 90102).
Solitary and secretive, found in patch or fringing reefs near shore, often in silty conditions (Ref 90102).
