Characterized by semi-translucent reddish to yellowish body color with internal red or yellow stripe above verrtebral column; all pelvic fin rays unbranched; fifth pelvic ray 10% length of fourth ray; head and body without scales; very elongate body, depth about 5.9-6.9 in SL (Ref. 90102).
Inhabits reef crevices, frequently on drop-offs, in 10-40 m (Ref. 90102).
