Anterior margin of snout broadly rounded from dorsal aspect; rounded chin; 3 pairs of mental pores, 1st pair close together, opening in a common pit on ventral aspect of chin; upper jaw enlarged without strong anterior teeth; spinous dorsal fin without scales; last well-developed pleural rib on 11th vertebra; lateral line without conspicuous white streak (Ref. 35863)
