Adult males mostly plain dark brown, females with indistinct mottling and oblique bars posteriorly on light brown background (Ref. 43716). TRB 10-16, 14-24 small predorsal scales; gill opening oblique, usually with few small round knobs on edge of pectoral girdle (Ref. 43716). Caudal fin oval, rounded posteriorly (Ref. 43716).
