Issue
Only Bregmaceros sp. in the Mediterranean Sea. Before 2017, the species has been misidentified as Bregmaceros atlanticus in the Mediiterranean Sea (Ref. 85575).

The species has been misidentified as Bregmaceros atlanticus in all previous reports in the Mediiterranean Sea before 2017 (Ref. 85575).

Espinas dorsales (total) : 0; Radios blandos dorsales (total) : 42 - 56; Espinas anales: 0; Radios blandos anales: 42 - 55; Vértebra: 47 - 52. Body is elongate, yellowish-white with a brownish stripe along each side of the back.

Neritic, probably undergo vertical migration. Migrates into and out of anoxic water on a diurnal basis.
