Characterized by reddish orange body color; narrow pale blue to whitish line encircling eye; iris red with yellow inner rim; usually has elongated second dorsal spine; branched pectoral rays 7-11; fifth pelvic ray branched, 60-70% length of fourth ray; longitudinal scale series 23-25; without median predorsal scales; scales on side of nape extending forward nearly to eye; cheek and opercle without scales; depth of body about 4.1 in SL. |
