Distribution Sawa Lake, south-west of Baghdad, Iraq.
Quote The lake has no tributary entry of surface water (Jamil, 1977; Naqash et al., 1977), its water is highly alkaline (pH 8.5), rich in nutrients and mesohaline, with a salinity of about 18 ppt (Jamil, 1977).
