Remarks | Seven two- to three-day cruises were conducted twice a week to coincide with spring and summer spawning times for many fishes. A 1.0 m 333-micron mesh plankton net equipped with a General Oceanics flowmeter during daylight hours was utilized. It was hauled for 20 minutes in stepped oblique fashion at the surface, at 10 m, and at 20 m or to within 5 m of the bottom. |
